Kushi Kanzashi Museum

The museum displays mostly kushi (comb) and kanzashi (hair ornaments) alongside itabeni (decorative plates for lipstick), purses, wigs and calligraphy brush cases. There are over 400 items on display each season. The view of the Tamagawa river from the observation hall is spectacular.

Travel Report

I personally liked the Kushi-Kanzashi Museum. The exhibits were wonderful.
I was glad to see a wide pan of the Japanese culture, from combs and other hair sticks, to Kimonos and the way Japanese hairstyle went through history. Additionally, I think that I could get a sense of why the Japanese are so found of the four changing seasons. The view from outside the windows of the museum was great.
